Promo and Review - 'Mirror of Love' by Samna Ghani

Blurb

Emma Miller is an intelligent woman who believes in thinking with her head instead of her heart. A total cynic, she does not believe in fairytale endings nor is she one to swoon or pine for some man. She believes in attaining a comfortable existence. No complications. No worries. Her decision to visit Salar de Uyuni pretty much changes her entire perspective – about love, life and the truly important things in life.
Ashton Colyns is just like Emma. Cynical. Sarcastic. Witty. No idealistic notions for him either. But with his dry sense of humor and his irresistible charm, he manages to penetrate through Emma’s no-nonsense persona.
Midst the excitement and adventure and through the complicated mess with Henry Tudor and Anne Boleyn, will Ashton and Emma finally realize they were meant to be together?

My Review

I love this story!

Emma Miller is more excited about going on her dream vacation to Bolivia with her girlfriends than marrying her fiance, Ethan. When she and her pals visit the Salar de Uyuni, Emma gets lost and meets a mysterious man named Amaru. She then wakes up in a strange place and finds herself drawn into palace intrigue at the court of King Henry VIII. Luckily for her, the sexy and sweet Lord Ashton is there to help her.
Emma and Ashton's relationship is clean and romantic. He's a very understanding man, especially when she tell him her big secret. His sister and nephew, Henrietta and Jeffery respectively, are flamboyant characters who butt heads with Emma. Anne Boleyn certainly doesn't like Emma, either, but the king is infatuated with her. What's a girl to do?
I love the history and details in this book. It's evident the author knows this time period and she wrote a wonderful, descriptive short story.
5 Stars
